Tax Deductible Information
All donations are tax deductible, and a receipt is provided for each donation. For income tax purposes, it is the donor’s responsibility to value their donation.We’re often asked, “How much can I deduct from my taxes?” Ultimately this is something you may want to discuss your accountant. Donors should refer to official IRS instructions for Form 8283, Non-cash Charitable Contributions, available at www.irs.gov.
Where should you place your donations?
Donations must be easily accessible, preferably in the garage, on the driveway, porch, or on the ground floor. If the driver feels there is a risk of damage to the home or business, or there is risk of personal injury, he is obligated to leave the item. The driver will not remove doors or railings or perform any disassembly of a donated item.

Appliances (Cannot be older than 10 years of age.)
Bathroom fixtures, bath tubs, shower enclosures, bath vanities
Blinds, horizontal only (no vertical blinds)
Carpet, new or gently used, minimum 8′ x 10′
Drywall, must be full sheets
Faucets (new in the box)
Flooring materials, ceramic tile, vinyl, (unopened boxes only)
Furniture, home and office, gently used
Hardware for doors, cabinets, etc
Lighting products, chandeliers, lamps, fixtures
Lumber/plywood/trim, minimum 8′ lengths
Mattresses & boxsprings (brand new in wrap)
Mirrors (must be framed)
Paint, stains (new, unopened cans only)
Roofing materials, shingles (in bundles only)
Tools: hand tools, garden tools, bench tools, power tools
Windows (vinyl & aluminum - no wood)
NOTE: Donations can be new or used, but all items must be in good repair and in saleable condition.
